What it is

Stoop is Air Mail, but hyperlocal: a beautifully-made weekly about the three blocks you actually walk — what's opening and closing, the history hiding on your own street, the people behind the places you love, and where to go. The city daily is too broad to be loved and the neighborhood feed is a wall of complaints. Stoop is the thing in between that barely exists — curated, well-written, a little deluxe, and about your corner. First edition: Hyde Park, Tampa.

The promise

Stoop runs on trust, so here's the bar we hold ourselves to:

• Every fact traces to a public source. A tip is a lead we verify, not something we print as-is — and every edition carries its sources, in the open.
• We write about the place, not private people. No one's home address, schedule, or anything we couldn't point to a public source for.
• We show real numbers. Real subscriber counts, real open rates — never inflated. If the number is small, we say so; a brand-new list is honest, an invented one is fraud.
